Our 44th President now sits in the Oval Office.
Our country had a celebration yesterday.
I experienced a moment of tears during the "Oath Of Office" and during
President Obama's Inaugural Speech.
I found myself with my fingers to my lips as he spoke.
Like a child, I felt.
However, we MUST remember that he is our President, not our Messiah.
I find myself in prayer more often than usual these days.
We, as a Nation, must feel that we are finally one and whole and that
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr's "I HAVE A DREAM" speech has been fulfilled.
It's a bit eerie to me, a bit surreal and completely; truly by definition, wonderful!
We, The People, have called out our desire for change. Whether it is the fact that Americans elected an African descendant, or, that he is against the war in Iraq, or any of many other reasons, the whole world is taking a new look at The United States of America and much of the faith and trust that we have lost in the last 6 years has been restored. Now it is up to our President Obama and the American people to do the right thing with that renewed prestige.
Day 1, as it were.
