For the Woman who has EVERYTHING, something so special was given to her...

Although Margrit was certainly alive, it cannot be said that she had a life, for hers was spent tied to a tree. She was bred repeatedly, yet was never afforded the luxury of a barn, a shed, or any sort of shelter. She endured snow, hurricanes, thunderstorms, and scalding summer heat in one spot - tied to the same tree. And she gave birth in those conditions as well. Until her foals were sold, they endured the same fate ... tied to a different tree.
In her late 20's, Margrit is a red roan Appaloosa mare who was rescued, along with her filly, in February 2006 by some kind women who were able to take her in. Mylestone promised to take the mare as soon as she was able to travel if they couldn't find her a home. In that span of time, Margrit also miscarried yet another baby, a blessing according to the vet, who did not believe the mare would have survived the pregnancy and birth.
Margrit came to Mylestone July 2006. She needs to gain at least 200 pounds. She enjoys the human companionship she never knew, and we're hoping, that as soon as she is fully recovered, she will enjoy the companionship of other horses at the farm. Margrit's vet care and feed are costly, and your support would be greatly appreciated. Please donate towards Margrit's care today, or sponsor her. She will be grateful, no doubt, for your caring.

I listen to WAWZ Star 99.1 FM each and every Monday - Friday as I am beginning my day. I spend my time listening as I shower and quite literally wash away the previous day and prepare for the day at hand. I enjoy the music I hear and carry it with me as I go along to my very stressful job. I maintain the melodies of praise that were the last songs I heard before turning off the radio and then off to work, and then, try to carry one or two melodies throughout the day.... but, it's not easy sometimes. Although, lately, I've been carrying a new song in my heart.
I would like you to meet Merema Kasso.
