For the Woman who has EVERYTHING, something so special was given to her...

Having to go back to work the day after Christmas can be a drag.
However, for me, it wasn't.
I had a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner with four of my five siblings along with bro-in-law and boyfriend-outlaw (!) and it was delightful!
Arriving to work this morning was the usual "what did you get" thing bouncing around the office. Most of the women I work with are always showered with insanely expensive and sparkling gifts and I get to hear about them and/or see them all over their hands, wrists and necks.
I received my gift in the form of a reunion with my sister!
It shined beyond anything and was priceless!
However, the most incredible gift I heard about today was the one given to my co-worker, Mary.
Her family adopted a horse for her! Yes! Please click on the link to the site below for
Mylestone Farms and read about this wonderful place!
Mary is a true animal lover and her family hit the nail on the head with this gift for her! She needs for nothing material in this world. She is blown away by the ability to care for her horse and intends to now volunteer at the farm to care for her Margrit and all the other beautiful horses!
I did not know about Mylestone Farms until today.
Margrit

Although Margrit was certainly alive, it cannot be said that she had a life, for hers was spent tied to a tree. She was bred repeatedly, yet was never afforded the luxury of a barn, a shed, or any sort of shelter. She endured snow, hurricanes, thunderstorms, and scalding summer heat in one spot - tied to the same tree. And she gave birth in those conditions as well. Until her foals were sold, they endured the same fate ... tied to a different tree.
In her late 20's, Margrit is a red roan Appaloosa mare who was rescued, along with her filly, in February 2006 by some kind women who were able to take her in. Mylestone promised to take the mare as soon as she was able to travel if they couldn't find her a home. In that span of time, Margrit also miscarried yet another baby, a blessing according to the vet, who did not believe the mare would have survived the pregnancy and birth.
Margrit came to Mylestone July 2006. She needs to gain at least 200 pounds. She enjoys the human companionship she never knew, and we're hoping, that as soon as she is fully recovered, she will enjoy the companionship of other horses at the farm. Margrit's vet care and feed are costly, and your support would be greatly appreciated. Please
donate towards Margrit's care today, or sponsor her. She will be grateful, no doubt, for your caring.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

A very Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year to all!
This is Elliot ! Isn't he handsome?

This picture was taken several years ago at a time when I thought
it might be his last Christmas.
It may have been four years ago and he was of 12 years.
He is now 16 years young and going strong!
I thank God for this magnificant boy everyday.
He seems to get younger each year!
He has these liquid vitamins that he takes from an eye dropper
for the past couple of years.
He bolts into the kitchen and jumps up on the back of the chair like a Circus Kittie !!

Tah -Dah !!

Don't ya just love my crazy kitchen ??!
Anyway, it blows me away that Elliot can still do this!

He IS Super-Kittie!! And he loves hearing it !

So.......
with that said.....

Elliot and I would like to wish you all the Merriest and the Bestest !!

And to all a good night !

Love and Peace

I listen to WAWZ Star 99.1 FM each and every Monday - Friday as I am beginning my day. I spend my time listening as I shower and quite literally wash away the previous day and prepare for the day at hand. I enjoy the music I hear and carry it with me as I go along to my very stressful job. I maintain the melodies of praise that were the last songs I heard before turning off the radio and then off to work, and then, try to carry one or two melodies throughout the day.... but, it's not easy sometimes. Although, lately, I've been carrying a new song in my heart.

I have decided to Sponsor a World Vision Child from Ethiopia.

I would like you to meet Merema Kasso.
She lives with her parents and has one brother and one sister.
She is 8 years old and we share a birthday, September 14 !!
She is blessed to have both her parents.
Merema is in good health and helps out with the family farm. She is in primary school and has a love for science..... I am not surprised.... she's a Virgo.

I can see in her eyes that she has determination.

I ask that you say a prayer for her and the Kasso family.

Barack Obama, his family and Our United States of America
are about to enter a
Brave New World!
And...
I am walking directly behind him in full support!

I remember as a little girl when John Kennedy was elected
there was joy and jubilation!
My parents were so happy,especially my father...
An Irish Catholic in the White House !
Begorah!
This morning, as I tuned into GMA at 7:00 AM
and heard what I already knew in my heart was to be,
I had my jump for joy moment !

.... as the coffee was brewing!
Joy and Jubilation!
(except it was just in the kitchen, just me and the coffee pot, but this pic will do very nicely)
We will ALL have to work towards Mr. Obama's goals for us.
There are no free rides!
And, that's my opinion.
Shadobbie!

"You cannot help the poor, by destroying the rich. You cannot strengthen the weak, by weakening the strong. You cannot bring about prosperity, by discouraging thrift. You cannot lift the wage earner up, by pulling the wage payer down. You cannot further brotherhood of man, by inciting class hatred. You cannot build character and courage, by taking away men's initiative and independence. You cannot help men permanently, by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves."

3 Bloody hours!

I literally spent 3 hours working on a very, very great post ! Awwhhhh! It was a story about just another day here in Westfield, my apartment, my new neighbors, the common hallway, their cats, the Alpha cat struggle, Elliot, their cat, Sam (who Elliot will shred very soon), the whimpy guy next door, (Will ), his newly PhD'ed wife (Julia, who IS the voice of reason in that relationship) and, well... I wrote a real cool thing with great pics that I searched purposely for and, created a story with words and images, and, blimy.. I don't know what the f@*k I did, but, as I was trying to edit it, it went poof, and then gone !

I feel sooo Liza !

Damn it!

I have lots of really fun videos all stored here and there that I would like to share, but, sadly, am not all that savy when it comes to clicking here and there in order to share them
OK...I know, I know... I am not a cool computer chick.
However.... I am cool enough to ask for help ! So... HELP !!
Someone please explain it to me like I am a 3 year old and not dixlectic !!
You will be happy you did !
Thanks !
I really AM trying to keep the Blaugh fresh and new. However, I get myself bogged down by thoughts, ideas, creativity and then just say "EEEHHYYEEGGHHYY!!" , ya know!
Throughout any given and each day and I am struck by a fabulous idea for the Blaugh. I get all excited about it, I swear I do. I should likely just stop what I am doing and go directly to it and make it really cool. However... that darn job of mine gets in the way ! I am loaded with great ideas between 9 and 5 >>>> which is real coup for the docs who employ me. Too bad when I get home and I am pretty much burned out and read through all the cool things that I wrote down on post-its in my pockets (what a great name for a Blog!)... I am just plain tired and all I want is a nice dinner, a bath, fresh air and a pillow.
Yep... I am fountain of creativity! I really am.
So... tell ya what. I will go on a stream of consciousness rant every now and then with pics and all the trimmings.
I shall poise myself for a bit and then let it rip! Yippee!!

All MINE !!!!

So, what is all this craziness about the stock market and fear ? In the grand scheme of things, we hold on tight to the things we love and believe in. In the face of economic ruin and vast distrust in the averages, the Dow, the Stock Market and all sorts of other things (I'm just dropping words as if I know a thing or two about this CRAZY CRISIS! ) that we should be leary of, we simply must hold on tightly to what we believe our assests are. Me? I have about an extra 80 bucks of liquidity monthly, and I am damn proud of it all ! Yep! It's been my way of life pretty much all the time. So, to me, these days are just some ordinary days. While, yes, I have seen my 401K total drop several thousand dollars, all I can say is, ce la vie ! Good times are good and bad times aren't. Knowing who you are and where you came from and never being afraid to be poor is PRICELESS ! God bless the child who's got her own! Fearless!

OK, that's it for the TV commercials!
However, we are experiencing technical difficulties, please stand by !

Stay on the look out for her influence on the things that you will want to wear very soon!

She is a delightful genius !

Check out Bravo.com and look at Project Runway. Really !

OK, so... Now.... let's look forward to ::::::

Yeah!

Another episode of House fulfilled!

Love, love, love him!

The eye doctor saw me.... and, threw up his hands in wonder and frustration. Poor guy!

This is Doctor Calderone in his most primitive state of "I give up!"! And this is the story of my eye exam with/of Dr. Calderone telling me :
"This is going to sound like a cop-out, but, I'm bascially throwing up my hands and giving up! Your eyes are a mess and I am sending you back to the specialist to see what he thinks, and, btw.... how come you took so long to come back, it's been over five years!?"
To which I replied : "well, I've been saving up for a dog and cane, but now that I pretty much can't read at all, I thought I would let ya have a look again!"
You see (puns R Us!), I have several eye issues since the beginning of my time on the planet.

My right eye is near sighted and my left eye is far sighted. Sounds easy enough, however, I also have an extreme case of several words all strung together which bascially say I have double vision on top of this mess because of more important words, and it has been that way all my life and continues to get worse and baffle the docs who examine me!
It pretty much looks like this after my right eye gobbles up a prism that is set into the right lens of my glasses..... which is what has happened over the five years since my last exam and a thousand dollars worth of glasses !
I don't know who this guy is and maybe he looks like this all the time to everyone, but this is bascially how I see things without glasses when I am very tired ! Fun, huh? In fact, Dr. Calderone asked me if I could 'split' him and I told him that I couldn't exactly make two of him, but could blend him so that he had four eyes and the rest a blur...just like this! Gotta love Google Images !

So:
????
Nope ! Got a note to hand over to the specialist all written in factors and abbreviations.

Crazy thing is >>>>> Even after I go to the guy and he customizes my Rx with a stronger prism that my brain will gobble up in a few more years.... I CAN'T EVEN GET THE GLASSES ANYWAY! I mean, Jeez.... who can afford that stuff ?

I might start learning Braile !
Or keep saving for that dog and cane!

So, all in all, it was all good. I actually did well with the 'is this better?" drill. Only freaked out once!
I can't tell you just how much FUN it was to type this and put it all together with dilated pupils!
FAROUT!

Monday, October 13, 2008

Hello, Kerry!

Thanks for checking out the Blaugh!

I love this 'a bit' blurry pic of you !

I love that you are wearing the puffed (albeit a bit squished) heart that I gave to you on your 25th birthday!

You are the 'BRIGHTEST STAR' that God has blessed our family ! The child who was born to surpass all streams of knowledge, all depths of love and perception in this family; the one that will never be dull, never be without reason and understanding; the pure and final curator of the structure of what this family should be; for you are the one who was made to continue on to be the very best of Doris and Cyril's love and creation.

I love you more than my pillow, and my couch, and my blanket ! :o)

Money for Nothin' ... hee, hee

I can't think of anything better than taking a Monday off from work ! Grant it... I just checked off a vacation day today, but, hey... it's money for nothing! Still have about 10 more vacation days left !

So... what does a girl like me do on her Monday off ? Well... first, turn off the alarm phone and roll over back to sleep a bit longer, until Elliot starts making all sorts of "Yelliots" and I finally get up !

So..... today was a good day. Best part was I didn't have to climb out the window to move my car... a blaugh for another day !

Then, after a weekend of doing chores, resting, doing more chores, resting, etc... Today was Doctor day! Yep, ye complete physical, all the touching and EKG and blood work.

It was FUN !! ( in my best Liza voice!.. hee-hee )

Tomorrow is eye doctor day. I can't tell you how frustrating it is for me to answer...

"Is this better ? , or is this better?"

These are questions I truly cannot answer ! I sometimes I want to slip the doc a $20 and whisper... 'you tell me when I get it right, ok?' But, sadly, he doesn't and continues to subject me to 'this or that', It ultimately becomes a rather long and frustrating exam for both of us. ... and I keep asking ..

COMPARED TO WHAT ?

dammit! I can't bloody see ! I wish it were a Jeopardy question, ya know ? You say "yep, this is better and you win a few hundred bucks for being right !

Oh, yeah, that looks better, but, I could be wrong because I don't know if that is as good as it gets! HELP !

ARRGHHH !

Wish me luck and patience !

My Fall Theater Day !
I treasure my time in the City.
I work hard for a living and I treat myself very well
each season.
Today I was enthralled by "All My Sons".
It was magnificant !
Got John Lithgow's autograph !! He is such a regal and generous man !
The Police and Body Guards were in full force for Katie Holmes... it actually got a big ugly with ugly people pushing the barriers and, well....she ain't John Lennon, ya know. I was watching from a distance on top of a few steps across the street and then I decided that, pshaw !
And from the theater, off to Mortons for my
favorite steak dinner !
It is so lovely to be
well known now by the folks at Mortons.
They treat me very well & know my exact needs.
It's nice to be a 'regular' there!

For two glorius nights this month,
Carniege Hall will present
Leonard Bernstein "Mass"
This is a crazy, wonderful piece of religious music.
And, Lenny embraced and also maintained
his belief as a Jewish man
as well as his deep passion of
The New Testament.
He was the composer of the sound of the 20th Century !

So.... for you who may have no need to hear this,
here is a chance to challange
your platitudes.
Digest well and wisely.
And....LISTEN!

10.02.08
Well, it's 9:00 pm EST.

America's own cartoon, satirist's dream is about to start to debate !

This is going to be fun and fodder for all pundants, comics, cynics and 'snarky' types. She's just soooo snarky!

AND >>>> she can see Russia from her house....right after she's swallowed those snarky pills!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Looks like Sarah is a "Serial Winker" !! Or, maybe she has a tic ?
This lady can also 'smile talk' better than any one I've ever seen , gosh darn it !
It was a perfect day ! Clean, crisp autumn air ... my favorite days of the year. Great kayaking weather !
Autumns first fallen leaves
Good Morning!
I've decided to do this blaugh thing.
This should be fun.
Here's a pic of Elliot.... you will be hearing from him from time to time, too. He's the biggest!
